Mauritian Rum – Rhumerie de Chamarel

300m above sea-level, in the heart of the Chamarel valley, is the Rhumerie de Chamarel. Not far from La Terre des 7 Couleurs, the rum distillery offers tasting sessions when you can try the rums made on site. There are guided tours of the distillery which explain the rum making process to visitors, a restaurant and even a shop.
